Karen Sanzo is a nationally recognized master Pilates teacher who isn't too well known in her own neighborhood. That lack of recognition, however, is about to change.

Her new studio, Pilates Unlimited LLC, will be the only full-service Pilates studio in East Dallas. She is applying the finishing touches now on her new space located at the Lakewood Gym.

This is Joseph Pilates at age 82, yes, 82, so something works with this exercise regimen.

Passionate and direct, Sanzo's strength is to articulate correct information about Pilates.

Her first trademark, "Pilates is more than exercise," describes her dedication to the exercise regimen.

"The focus is not just on movements but on how your body feels, and how to take what you learn in the gym and carry it over to your life," Sanzo said. "It's feeling better about yourself, making healthier choices, and being a happy person."
