Lakehill's Kate Fosha plays the widow in "The Bear" by Anton Chekov.
From the fantastic to the comedic, Lakehill Preparatory School juniors and seniors in the drama department recently displayed their stage talents during a pair of one-act plays.
Kate Fosha, 11th grade, Brian McElrath, 12th grade, and Tyler Redington, 12th grade, brought to life "The Bear," a comedy by Anton Chekhov.
Ronald Robinson, 11th grade, Imani Suber, 12th grade, Rosie McCoskey, 11th grade, Brennen Cowart, 12th grade, and Hagen Hauschild, 11th grade, staged the sci-fi based "Flowers for Algernon."
The performances March 27 and 28 honed the student-actors' skills and styles before the performance troupes headed to Houston's The Kinkaid School for the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest Arts Festival, where they engaged in a variety of performances, compositions, workshops, showcases, critiques, and exhibits.
While there might have been a dry eye or two in the house, each face in the crowd flashed at least one smile.
