Wouldn't it be great to be in a band with your friends from the neighborhood and have your spouse paint the album cover? Clay Pendergrass, an East Dallas musician, has found inspiration and love in his White Rock-area home with wife Tori Webb Pendergrass, a visual artist.
Clay is guitarist and a DJ, spinning avant garde, dance music with the unexpected. During a gig at Club Dada, he sampled pop tunes and Dada sound poems into funky beats.
His music is off-beat, interesting, and rooted in his East Dallas upbringing. Another project Pendergrass has been involved with since 2005 is Future Soul Sound Clash with guitarist Dave Burris, whom you might know from his regular gigs at the Balcony Club.
