Walk, Wag, Run Set to Return

The Lakewood Service League returns this fall with the sixth annual Walk, Wag, and Run 5K and 10K races, the 3K fun walk, the dog agility course, and Howl-O-Ween Kids Fair.

The events take place from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 24 at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake.

The day’s activities also include costume contests, the obligatory bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painting, games, trick or treating, and a pumpkin patch. The highlight features adoptable pets from the SPCA.

The whole shebang benefits For the Love of the Lake and the YMCA at White Rock.

Register online for the timed 5K and 10K runs. The top three male and top three female placers receive medals, and every participant gets a shirt.End of story
