The only thing "mini" about Woodrow Wilson High School's Mini-School is the length of the class periods.
Adults spend a long evening learning all they need to know about what the school offers students. This year, the event started with an information fair in the gym.
Representatives from athletics, extracurricular activities, and academic programs manned tables with information and sign-up sheets. Parents and visitors moved to the auditorium for a brief meeting with PTA announcements and other presentations.
Finally, parents clutching their students' class schedules trudged from room to room for eight-minute mini-meetings with teachers to hear what's planned for this school year. Lots of work goes into this PTA event.
Thanks to programs chairman Susan Matusewicz, along with Kathy Arnold, Gae Benson, Floann Chapman, Maroy Merino, Norma Rivera, Patty Rodriguez, and Bobbi Willhite. Patrick Luna is PTA president; Ruth Vail is Woodrow principal.
