The Hillside Advent Organ Recitals series continues each Friday — Dec. 7, 14, and 21 — at 12:15 in honor of Advent leading up to Christmas.
Organist Jim Rindelaub of First United Lutheran will play at Northridge Presbyterian on Dec. 7.
Grady Coyle of Northridge Presbyterian will play at First United Lutheran Church Dec. 14.
Michael Lindner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church will finish the series at Wilshire Baptist Church on Dec. 21.
Jeff Brummel of Wilshire Baptist, a doctoral student at Southwestern Seminary, started the series Nov. 30 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
Selections for each recital will include at least one or two pieces based on Advent or Christmas tunes. Somehow, though, we doubt "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" will be included in the mix.

Organ fans might be interested in the fantastic new CD by world-renowned organist Susan Ferre - Stories from the Human Village: War & Peace. It was recorded on the new Noack organ at the Episcopal School of Dallas, All Saints Chapel.
