Open House to Unveil New Woodrow Academies

Woodrow Wilson High School conducts its annual Welcome to Woodrow open house at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 8.

The evening includes a look at the new College Preparatory Academies that will be implemented during the fall 2010. The newly redesigned high school format emphasizes college readiness for all students.

Students will choose between the four academies: Academy of Math, Science, and Technology; Academy of Business, Finance, and Entrepreneurship; Academy of Performing Arts; and Academy of International Baccalaureate.

Woodrow is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

After an informational presentation in the auditorium, students and parents are invited to tour the school, meet with faculty and students, and participate in the Club Fair, which will provide information about clubs and organizations as well as highlight the College Preparatory Academies.
