The East Lake Pet Orphanage works hard to find permanent homes for rescued dogs and cats, but that work requires money to care for the pets.
So, ELPO conducts a three-day estate sale in Old Lake Highlands next weekend.
The sale takes place from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Jan. 29, 30, and 31.
Items remaining after the first day will be marked down by 25 percent for Jan. 30. The goods still available Jan. 31 will be half price.
All proceeds from the sale go to help the homeless pets at the orphanage.

I just want to reiterate how hard ELPO works and how generous they are in helping with the strays and cast-offs, that used to be pets. They took in a rental property cast-off from our neighborhood a few weeks back. The Border Collie Mix was "put out" by a renter who was "mad" at his girlfriend. How's that for an excuse to dump a dog? Anyway, one of our good neighbors made the connection at ELPO, pulled together a cash donation for her care, and she is there now - awaiting a quality, loving forever home.
God bless ELPO...
