The opening reception, sponsored by the Lakewood Library Friends, takes place from 2-4 p.m., Feb, 6, at the library. It includes a photo exhibit and lecture series presented by the Dallas Mexican American Historical League.

The event includes speakers from the DMAHL and live Tejano music by local award-winning musicians Juanelo Moa of The Mad Mexicans and Johnny Moa of The True King Band.

The exhibit runs through March 27, and the lecture series continues at 2 p.m., Feb. 20, and 2 p.m., March 13.End of story
