J.L. Long Middle School puts on two student dances Friday night, and organizers still need parent volunteers for a variety of roles.
The dances take place from 7-9 p.m., Feb. 12, with sixth-graders gathering in the school gymnasium and seventh- and eighth-graders busting moves in the cafeteria.
The school needs five people to handle setup from 5-6:30 p.m., two ticket sellers from 6:45-8:15 p.m., three or four parents to take care of the pizza and drink table from 7-9 p.m., four to five people to clean up afterward from 9-10 p.m., and, “lots and lots of chaperones,” to quote the newsletter.
Parents who want to volunteer for the sixth-grade dance should contact Mary Preussel, and volunteers for the seventh- and eighth-grade dance should e-mail Lucie Pound.
